SCHOOL HEAD

AT-TA’AWUUN Schools was established on the 2nd of September, 2012 with a few pupils in its Nursery section. Today, the school has grown remarkably, running from Nursery 1 up to Senior Secondary School 1 (SSS1), with a substantial number of students across its main campus and two additional branches located at Dutsen Kura and Tayi Village.

As a bilingual institution (Arabic and English), AT-TA’AWUUN gives strong emphasis to effective teaching and learning, blending both conventional and Islamic education. The school is staffed with qualified and committed teachers holding Degree, NCE, and at minimum SSCE qualifications.

In line with the National Policy on Education, the school also enriches learning with extracurricular activities and modern assessment methods. AT-TA’AWUUN conducts examinations using the Computer-Based Test (CBT) system, ensuring students are well-acquainted with 21st-century assessment standards.

A distinctive feature of AT-TA’AWUUN Schools is its Entrepreneurship Department, where from JSS1 to SSS1, every student is required to learn a practical skill in areas such as Tailoring, Crochet Making, or ICT. This ensures that alongside academic excellence, students graduate with valuable life and vocational skills.

The school is a full and active member of the Association of Model Islamic Schools (AMIS). It has made its mark both within Niger State and nationally. Notably, AT-TA’AWUUN represented Niger State at the Aisha Lemu Festival in Ilorin, 2020, where it won 2nd and 3rd positions in Khutbah and Exhibition categories. At the state level, the school also clinched 1st place in Khutbah and 2nd in Exhibition.

With its strong foundation, modern outlook, and unwavering commitment to academic and moral excellence, AT-TA’AWUUN Schools continues to nurture a generation of students equipped with both sound knowledge and practical skills.
